i want to go to the beach

my hubby is doing his weekend support on sunday night again. we will not have time to go out on that day because he will need to get sleep to be prepared for his night work.
it's 5 in the morning and i still don't feel like going back to bed. i had pretty long sleep before gab woke me up at aroun two to ask for milk.
gab is a big boy. he already knows how to wake me up if he needs something. the other day, he woke me up saying "meee, wee wee" because the diaper was full.
anyway, going back to wanting to go to the beach... i'm thinking of not going back to sleep anymore and prepare some food and our stuff so that when my boys wake up, we are ready to leave and we'll have fun at the beach. =) i hope i won't feel sleepy soon or when we're at the beach.

Gab's water fountain fun at Vivo City

Aside from the playgrounds scattered everywhere, one of the fun-filled places Gab enjoys to visit are the water fountains here in Singapore.

He loves getting himself drenched... he enjoys being sprayed on... he finds so much fun as jet fountains spew water from the ground..

I wish that Gab will start to talk so that he can tell stories about his excitement and enjoyment every time we bring him to places.

Check out this video... isn't it nice and relaxing to see and hear kids giggling?

Fun Time at the Mall

I emailed Gab's recent photos to his dad. He was very happy looking at the pictures and he even changed his laptop's wall paper! I think my hubby misses our son more than he misses his wife. It's fine with me just as long as no one comes in between me and my son on the list of the people whom he misses. LOL!

I also showed Gab's photos to my friends. I enjoyed their comments. Some of them, who after not seeing Gab for more than a year, said that he's not a baby anymore. And that he'd be as tall as his mom when he turns 8.

Gab's Lolo and Lola (Filipino for Grandpa and Grandma) actually asked me to have his pictures printed so that they can put 'em in their wallets and show to anyone they meet outside. Can you say they are proud grandparents? LOL.

And so Gab and I went to the mall again to have his digital photos printed. We printed several copies in different sizes. (The mom also wants to have photos in her wallet. LOL.)

Gab and I spent a couple of hours walking, playing and eating today. It was tiring but full of fun!

P.S. Below are some of the photos that were printed in different sizes!!!

P.S.2. Hey are you kidding me? You're not supposed to notice it! I'm trying hard not to sound proud. LOL!

Manila Ocean Park Adventure

I was supposed to bring Gab to the studio to have his ID picture taken when my niece and I decided to go for a fun walk instead. We went to the Manila Ocean Park!!!

We were five in the group when we went there. All of us have never been to the place. We were all excited. As always, I was excited because I knew it was going to be a very fun learning adventure for Gab.

I'm sharing the photos below!!!

Gab enjoyed a lot. He was so tired when we arrived home. But when he woke up the next morning and I asked him if he had a good night's sleep... he smiled and showed me how a fish swims. As if he was still savoring the experience. When I asked if he wants to go back with his Dad, he nodded his head several times as if he wanted to go right there and then.

As a mom, I find it very delighting to see my son enjoy trips like that. And more than just the fun, I enjoy the learning that he gains. I'm sure he enjoyed the colors, the creatures, the people and the place. I hope to bring Gab more learning somewhere else, soon! ;-)

being senior in high school, fun or nightmare?

Senior year in high school I think is for most people one of the coolest experiences in life. It’s the time when you get the chance to become superior at school. It’s when you get harassed with all the requirements but you still keep up with the parties and the good times. It’s when your all anxious about passing all the subjects or you’ll suffer another year at school… and the worst part is that you’re gonna have to spend it with the people whom you have bullied all year round– the juniors. LOL. No one likes that! With all the excitement and fun of being a senior is the pressure of qualifying for that dream college or university which you have started to dream about because either cute guys are all over the place or nothing, you just wanna belong.

I was talking to a niece and she was whining about all the stress she already got this early. They only started the school year last week and she said she’s always up late to finish all the home works. Add to that the tough training they were given on the first weekend (and it will be given every lovely Saturdays thereafter) which she used to spend watching her favorite mushy movies.

Well, I’m not sure if the times have changed and the senior year is not as fun as before, but, I think if that’s their school’s way of preparing them for more challenges in the future, she should start getting used to it. What she can do is find ways to relax when done with all her home works and stop whining!!! Again, stop whining!!! Find ways to enjoy! After all, I don’t remember any elder saying that having fun is forbidden when you’re asked to stay focused and drill a hole all week on your study table.
